The real test of our build-to-Rent offer: Residents tell us what they think

We recently surveyed residents of Moroki in Glen Innes, Auckland, managed by New Ground Living on behalf of Hapai Housing, to see how they were settling into their new community, and just as importantly, how Moroki’s features and amenities were supporting their lifestyle so we can continue to improve.

There were some notable highlights in the results. We’re thrilled to learn that 86% of residents were likely to recommend Moroki to friends and family and the same number reported they are satisfied/very satisfied when asked to rate how safe they feel at Moroki.

Moroki welcomes pets and 79% of the residents are happy with the pet policy.

It was also great to see 97% very satisfied with the power supply, reflecting the usability and affordability of living in a new Homestar 7 or 8 home.

We asked residents which amenities in the buildings they used and liked. There’s room to get more people out using the barbecue and vege gardens once the summer rolls around again.

83% liked and used the car parking, a reminder that even in a suburb with a train station provision of adequate parking is still important to Aucklanders.

In the comments section there were some useful tips for us on how we could further improve the amenities offered, plus acknowledgement of the benefit to residents of having a dedicated community manager. There was plenty of aroha for Wa who performs that role at Moroki.

Round the clock access to communication with management is really top tier compared to our previous experiences in other apartment complexes in the past.
